June 10, 2000 Well today, is Saturday and we are leaving Singapore. We really don't want to, we were only here for a one night lay over and that's it. We got a late check out and left the hotel at noon. We got to the Singapore airport, which is the number one airport in the world. At least that is what they say. I think it is the nicest airport I have ever seen. They have special places for certain T.V. channels. They have a sports center in the middle of the airport, the seats (there are four sections). One of the sections is tennis ball chairs, which they have tennis on the T.V. in the section and so on, then the second section is basketball chairs, and the third section soccer ball chairs, and the four section baseball chairs. Well we left the Singapore airport and flew to Saigon around 3:30 or so. When we got to Saigon airport we got all of our luggage and then got a taxi to our Hotel. We are staying at the Park Royal. I think it is in the middle of nowhere it is far from the downtown and anywhere else. Well that night we decided to go to the Hard Rock Cafe (Saigon), we took a taxi there. We would have never found it. It is the middle of nowhere, it was very small only about fifteen seats with tables, and about five bar chairs. So we decided not to eat there. There was on one in there at all. We ended up taking a cab back to the hotel. We decided to eat there. There was a buffet, but it was raw food, you had to cook it yourself at your table. I thought it was a lot of fun. My parents didn't like it too much because it took to long for the food to cook, when you are very hungry. Then after dinner we went back upstairs to the hotel room, and then went to bed. |
